Manual vs automatic transmission

 In this blog we are going to see about the differences between manual and automatic transmission.

                        


  • In manual transmission there will be three pedals clutch, brake and accelerator. In automatic transmission there will be two pedals brake and accelerator.
  • In a manual transmission the drive want to press the clutch hardly and shift the gears. In manual transmission driver needs to use both his hands and legs to move the car smoothly.
  • In a automatic transmission the driver is easy to drive because their is no need to change the gears. Just put it in D mode leave the brake the car moves automatically. 

Pros of manual transmission:
  1. Manual transmission cars are lowly priced.
  2. Low maintenance cost
  3. Fuel efficient
  4. Fun to drive
Cons of manual transmission:
  1. Very challenging  to drive in bumper to bumper traffic.
  2. Lot of training is required to drive manual transmission.

Pros of automatic transmission:
  1. Easy to drive in bumper to bumper traffic.
  2. Smooth drive
  3. Higher resale value

Cons of automatic transmission:
  1. High maintenance cost
  2. Lower mileage
  3. Expensive when compared to manual transmission.

Who can buy manual transmission?
  • Manual transmission is suitable for person who wants a sporty and thrilling feel and full control of the vehicle is with the driver.
  
Who can buy automatic transmission:
  • Automatic transmission is suitable for Ladies, Old aged people and for people who is having half clutch problem.
